Who We Are
A school built around how people actually learn
Khwamru Academy began from a simple observation: most online AI courses assume you already know too much or move far too fast. We decided to do something different.

From Bangkok, with patience
Khwamru Academy was founded in 2021 by a small group of developers and educators based in Bangkok's Phra Nakhon district. The name — "khwamru" (ความรู้) — means knowledge in Thai, and it reflects what the school is actually about: the genuine process of understanding something, rather than just completing it.
The founders had each spent years in AI and software development before moving into education. What they noticed, across different teams and backgrounds, was that people learned better when they weren't rushed — when each concept had room to settle before the next arrived. That observation shaped everything about how Khwamru's courses are structured.
Today the school runs three online programs covering the range from complete beginner to hands-on practitioner. Each course is taught fully remotely, at a defined pace, with consistent mentor involvement from start to finish. Students come from across Thailand and the broader region, drawn by the structured approach and the absence of pressure.
Our Mission
Making AI development approachable
The goal is not to push people through a syllabus as quickly as possible. It's to help each participant build a mental model of AI that actually holds together — one that supports further learning after the course ends.
We design every lesson with clarity as the primary constraint. Before adding anything new, we ask whether the person coming in without prior knowledge can follow the reasoning. If the answer is uncertain, we rewrite.

The People
Who runs the courses
Nattapong Prasit
Lead Instructor · AI & ML
Nattapong has worked in machine learning for eight years, most recently in applied NLP. He leads the Building Models and Generative AI courses and writes the majority of the curriculum.
Sirima Phetcharat
Curriculum Designer
Sirima comes from instructional design and spent five years building technical training programs before joining Khwamru. She shapes how each lesson progresses and reviews all written materials.
Krit Wongchai
Beginner Programs Mentor
Krit works exclusively on First Steps in AI, providing feedback and answering questions from participants in the early stages of their learning. He specialises in explaining concepts plainly.
Our Standards
How we hold ourselves accountable
Curriculum review cycle
All course materials are reviewed every six months to reflect current developments in AI tools, libraries, and responsible use guidelines.
Mentor response standards
We aim to respond to all participant questions within one business day. Feedback on submitted work is returned within three days.
Data privacy
Participant data is stored securely and never shared with third parties for advertising purposes. We collect only what's necessary to run the courses.
Accessibility in content
Lesson materials use clear language, adequate font sizes, and captioned video where applicable to support a wide range of learners.
Ethical AI emphasis
Every course incorporates discussion of AI ethics, bias, and responsible deployment. We treat this as essential technical knowledge, not optional reading.
Participant feedback loop
At the end of each course, participants complete a structured review. Responses directly influence lesson revisions in the following cycle.
AI education designed for how learning actually works
Online AI development education is a crowded field. Most programs compete on breadth — the number of topics covered, the variety of frameworks introduced, the speed at which the syllabus moves. Khwamru Academy is built on a different premise: that depth and pacing matter more than volume.
The three courses — First Steps in AI, Building Models, and Generative AI in Practice — are designed to fit together. A learner can move through all three over the course of a year, finishing with practical experience across the range from AI fundamentals to applied generative systems. Or they can enter at whichever stage reflects where they are right now.
Based in Bangkok's Phra Nakhon district, Khwamru operates fully online and serves learners across Thailand and Southeast Asia. All materials are in English, with care taken to use plain and clear language throughout. The school is not affiliated with any university or certification body; it is independent, focused on practical knowledge, and committed to the kind of teaching that takes its time.
